A pleasant scenic trip north by minibus along the Chiang Mai – Thaton route. Amidst lush tropical jungle at an elephant camp, see a demonstration of how talented an trained elephants are used for work in the timber industry…..pushing, pulling and rolling logs using their tusks, trunks and feet.
Then, its. “ ride ‘eme cowboy” time.… an exciting elephant ride over hills and into the lush jungle. “Swing with the sway” is what it’s all about, but hang on tight folks. After the ride, have a picnic lunch under the cool jungle shade. Then enjoy a “Huckleberry Finn” bamboo rafting trip for an hour on the placid, serene river. On the return, stop by to visit an orchid farm filled with exotic orchids in bloom.

Drive back to town.

day 3 : Doi Suthep Temple & Meo Hill - tribe Village

A pleasant winding drive up to Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the symbol of Chiang Mai, where the holy relic of the Lord Buddha is enshrined. 2 magnificent Nagas act as guardians as you ascend up the steps to the temple.
A splendid view of town and the surrounding country -side can be seen from the temple grounds. Drive further up the mountain to a Meo hill -tribe village. Migrants from China, they choose to live in self-sustaining villages while retaining their primitive culture, quaint customs and elaborately embroideried dresses. Return back to town.

Have A Lunch.
01.30 PM Home Industries.(Half day)
A paradise program for shoppers willing to enjoy the fun art of shopping see world -renowned native handicrafts actually being crafted by master craftsmen and their assistants.
Elaborate teak-wood carvings in hundreds of forms and sizes, intricate hand-made silverware, high-fired celadon, lustrous lacquer-were, Thai silk and cotton being woven the ancient, traditional way on rustic wooden looms, primitive paper making process, hand-made paper and silk parasols in a dazzling blaze of rainbow hues. Watch skilled artists painting on parasols. High skill and endless patience is a necessary virtue to work in these industries.
